Mike has lived in Tongwynlais since 1989, with his wife Janine and their three children, and is an architect, with his office in the village. Mike was first elected to the Community Council in 1999, when he was also appointed as the council’s representative on the governing body at Tongwynlais Primary School. He is still a governor and has been chair of the governing body since 2007. He is an active member of the community, being involved with the festivals since they started in 2000 and is also a scout leader in Whitchurch, the chair of Castell Coch Choral Society and has served as a County councillor for the area between 2008-12 and 2017-22.
